Overview: This project examines various dimensions of parenting including parenting style (and its impact on children), the combination of work and family responsibilities, and the time investment of parents in their children.
Sub-project on parental time: Key questions include: How much time do parents devote to their children? How does parental time vary with education and social class? Has parental time increased, or decreased, over time?
New: Parental time use in Europe: This paper uses data from the European time use survey (HETUS) to examine cross-national differences in parental time. More information on this paper along with background material appears below.
